The PN in REJURAN® revitalises the skin by promoting cell growth through fibroblast production. This improves the skin’s own regenerative capability, skin elasticity, skin tone and texture by balancing oil and moisture levels in the skin.
The best candidates for REJURAN® are those with pigmentation and otherwise damaged skin from sun exposure and those with fine lines and wrinkles around the mouth and eyes, as well as those who suffer from chronic inflammation of the skin such as acne, resulting in acne scars. Along the same vein, it is also effective for treating eczema. Patients with thin and/or sensitive skin who are not suitable for, or may have experienced side effects from treatments such as fillers can also benefit from REJURAN®.
The treatment is administered via superficial intradermal injections with a sharp needle all over the face, including the forehead, cheeks, temples, upper and lower eyelids and the periorbital and nasolabial areas. This causes temporary weals that look a little like mosquito bites but subsides within 24 hours.

The patient can choose to take an oral analgesic such as nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) or paracetamol prior to the treatment. Numbing cream is then applied followed by injections of local anaesthesia into the areas to be treated. During the treatment, the physician might ask his or her assistant to place packs of ice on areas to be treated to further reduce pain and the areas already treated to reduce the formation of weals.
The treatment takes about 10 minutes, not including time needed for the effects of the numbing cream to set in. 
Injections in areas such as the upper and lower eyelids and under-eye and cheek areas are practically painless. However, the patient might feel discomfort and even pain in the more sensitive areas such as the forehead and jawline.  
For best results, the patient is advised to have up to three or four treatments, spaced three to four weeks apart between treatments.
REJURAN® can provide improved skin elasticity, collagen synthesis in the skin, tighten and lift skin, balance the oil and moisture levels in the skin, reduce the appearance of acne scars and open pores, and improve fine lines and skin texture. It also increases the protective layer of the skin by increasing thickness and density of inner skin.
Like most other aesthetic treatments, REJURAN® may be used in combination with other treatments such as, for example,
- CO2 fractional lasers to further assist in treating acne scars,
- Thread Lifts for repositioning of sagging facial tissue, and
- Non-Crosslinked Hyaluronic Acid Fillers to provide more radiance and hydration to the skin.
